Muse, Siren and Echo - How They Influence Our Feeling State
Often a new perspective or vantage point can help us see a new pathway to addressing and overcoming our challenges whatever they may be.
Muse Siren and Echo are the new way I propose to look at challenges with depression, anxiety, and anger.
Muse calls us into our creative energy. It may also be thought of as our intuition. Often muse is aligned with artists who, when engaged with their muse create beautiful art. Muse is life-giving energy, drawing on one’s history of experiences and melding it with the present to create a new art form or understanding of our life’s direction. This is a positive growth process.
Siren on the other hand is an alluring call to destruction. Sirens of the sea lure sailors to sail into the rocks. This energy is very seductive and promotes addictive habits. The song the siren sings is mesmerizing rendering the person helpless in righting their course.
Echo has no voice, it only repeats the sound it hears.
So let’s now apply this understanding of Muse, Siren, and Echo to our feeling state. When we are in a feeling state we often feel stuck in emotions of depression, anxiety, or anger. This is when we are in the grips of Siren and Echo.
To move out of this state we need to activate our muse.
Saying “I am entranced by Siren” may help one reposition themselves to work differently with their emotional states. It is not you, but the siren and echo energy!
There are several ways to engage our muse/intuition:
Use a mantra such as “I call on my muse to fill my life with creative energy.”
Sing or hum your favourite song.
Dance or do full-body shakes
Do art
Go to a play, art gallery, or museum
Get into nature
